The IPL 2022 is going to take place in India. This time in the IPL mega auctions will be held. This time rather than 8 teams, 10 teams will be participating in world's most famous T2O league. So the retention list has came out from all the franchise. Lets take a glance at them and there is a lot of suprised changes . We will began by discussing the defending Champions

Defending Champions CSK have relied on their old duo of Ravindra Jadega and MS Dhoni. Ravindra Jadega being the most expensive players which have being retained for 16 crores while Dhoni being for 12 crores.Ruturaj having a fantastic previous season so the franchise have Retained them for 6 crores and an English all rounder Moeen Ali which also had a decent season have been retained for 8 crores.Team has released one of their major run scorer Suresh Raina .CSK in the mega auction would probably looking for some good capability Pacer which they also lacked in the previous season and a balanced team.

Delhi Capitals have actually retained a bunch of players that will make quite a balanced in their team for upcoming season. KKR retention list came as a suprise for me. I did not see their captain Eoin Morgan, he led to his team into the finals. Neither do Dinesh Kartik their ex captain. So as we can see KKR will definitely be looking for a skipper this season with a perfect balance squad. While their Retention list contains Andre Russell for 12 crores. Seems like the franchise is showing trust for the Caribbean player to deliver for them although he had a bad previous season. Venkatesh Iyer for 8 crores was the most obvious. Giving such a miraculous performance in his debut season he was surely not going to be released by the Franchise. Mystery Spinners Varun Chakravarthy will be once again returning for KKR for 8 crores and the last one Sunil Narine for 6 crores.

Mumbai Indians have believed in their old payers once again as they have been doing. They have retained skipper Rohit Sharma for 16 crores and their bowling backbone Jasprit Bumrah for 12 crores and Suryakumar Yadav for 8 crores and their all time finisher from past 11 years Kieron Pollard for 6 crores. Mumbai Indians generally trust their own men once again to deliver for them. They generally do not change their team in the auctions.The results have shown they are the most successful franchise by winningtitle 5 times. Still I think Mumbai would be looking for alternative spinner as Pandya Brothers have not been retained by them. Krunal Pandya was their main spinner for them in the previous seasons. So it will be quite interesting to see what players they are getting into squad after mega auction.
5. RCB RETAINED PLAYERS PRICE

II. GLENN MAXWELL 11 CR
III. M.SIRAJ 7 CR
PURSE REMAINING: 57 CR
RCB have retained their three players. In which Virat Kohli for 15 crores was pretty obvious. Then Glenn Maxwell for 11 crores was the good choice. Maxwell had an amazing season. He deserved his place in the retention list. Further AB has announced his retirement which means that he will not be playing so you need a player who can step up and Glenn Maxwell it is the correct choice. Then suprising was that they released or we can say that it didn't came to an agreement with the player of the season Harshal Patel to retain him. He was the holder of purple cap. In place of him Mohammad Siraj for 7 crores had been retained. He is currently in decent form no doubt about that. But again management did not able to retain Yuzvendra Chahal who also had a good previous season. He is one of the main operating bowler for RCB. In the mega auction I think RCB need to grab some big match winners if they want their maiden title. They need more match finishers for them.
6. SRH RETAINED PLAYERS PRICE

SRH came up with an list of three players that have been detained by him that includes two non capped players for India. This was quite suprising. We were sure that David Warner was not able to continue with the franchise. But still they didn't able to convince Rashid Khan, Johny Bairstow, Jason Holder , these players have actually been good. They have retained Kane Williamson their skipper for 14 crores. Then followed by him Abdul Samad and Umar Malik for 4 crores each. I think SRH does need a complete change in their squad. Their retained players except Kane are really young and inexperienced. Although they have remaining 68 Crores that should be properly used for building a strong line up in the upcoming season.

RR did not had a good season. I think because of their many important players missing the second leg of IPL. But still they got a good retention list that includes skipper Sanju Samson for 14 crores, and a fantastic Wicket keeper Batsman Jos Buttler for 10 crores. They also got a young lad which has been coming up with good performances Yashashvi Jaiswal for 4 crores. They franchise has given trust to this young lad and he has the ability I think. Apart from that there are some big players who might have risk to lose them as they have been released by them such as Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Chris Morris. They also have a good amount for 62 Crores to rebuild their team.
8. PBKS RETAINED PLAYERS PRICE
1. MAYANK AGRAWAL 12 CR
2. ARSHDEEP SINGH 4 CR
PURSE REMAINING: 72 CR
They most highlighted franchise in the mega auction would be none other than PBKS. They have retained only 2 players Mayank Agarwal for 12 crores and Arshdeep Singh for 4 crores. As the rumors were true that KL Rahul will no longer be continuing with PBKS so I think they had no other option than retaining Mayank Agarwal. While Arshdeep Singh was a really good pick. He has been in a tremendous form. PBKS have really good left amount of 72 crores remaining with them in the mega auction and certainly it is the right time to use it. They need every department to full fill their squad. They need a amazing skipper to lead by their side. So it is the right time to step up in the mega auction.
Apart from these 8 teams there will be two more teams that will be joining IPL from 2022. They are Ahmedabad and Lucknow. That take thing even more interesting. Although there are not been any news that they have signed any players but their are a lot of players and the mega auction is coming up. IPL has all over increased their bar of popularity even more due to announcement of these two teams.
