If we look back at the Indian Side as a batting unit in recent years we have always found a lack of consistency in the middle order. We were always in the need of a man who can do his job effectively and always be consistent. Many names came forward and they were given chances but none of them were consistent. But the man from Mumbai has been on another level in current scenario. Bashing bowlers out of the park has become his daily job. Whenever he is on the crease , he is making sure that scorecard is full of runs. Finding gaps, hitting a maximum on the every side of the ground is just astonishing. Suryakumar has became a x factor for the Indian Cricket team for the T20 World Cup. He has became a nightmare for the bowlers. He has its amazing strategy of putting the opposition side on the pressure as soon as possible. Mr. 360 does not follow the pitch or the conditions of the game. He just goes and plays his natural game and is consistent in doing that. Performing decent in the Asia cup and then monstrous in the series against Australia and ongoing T20 series against South Africa.
The journey of Suryakumar has been not easy at all. He has done a lot of hardworking to find a seat in the Indian squad. His first class record has been decent. Earlier he was a part of MI and then KKR franchise till 2017 and at KKR his batting position was under utilised. Then in 2018 Mumbai Indians bought him for INR 3.2 crores and we can do say that his luck came along with that. Mumbai Indians promoted him at the top of the order and giving him the important no. 3 position in batting. He gave his full effort and results were at the peak. He has been outstanding for the Mumbai Indians since then. Year by year giving stunning performances, he finally debuted on 14th of march 2021 against England but didn't get to bat. Then he got dropped in the next game and then finally in the 4th game he got back in the team and started his international runs with a massive six and then went on to score his first half century. That was a indication of the begin of his era.
Suryakumar as a player has lot of attributes in his game. First he does not require the time to set on the pitch. He can start smashing the bowlers from first ball of the game. This quality automatically fits the role of a finisher. Then obviously he is really very doing well in the middle order , he is the carrier for the team. He has already mentioned that he can bat at any position so that is always a plus point for the team. But if we look upon the team I think no. 4 is the best position suited for him to play. After watching Suryakumar form in the recent game he has set the bar high for himself. Expectations will be high from him in the T20 World Cup is around the corner. He has also broke some records which are most T20 runs among Indians in a calendar year, he also broke records for the most sixes in a calendar year. He is currently ranked 2 in the ICC rankings in the T20'S. The way he is performing if he carries to do that no doubt he will become one of the greatest and can be a major match winner for the Team India in the important ICC events
