The series that the Africans may never forget in their entire history. Being underdogs in the series and then came victorious against one of the toughest teams in the test playing nation. This team will never forget their epic comeback. Winning a series against such a powerful side requires a lot of discipline, dedication and excellence and the results shows that the Proteas ticked ever box to become series winner. Every team has kneel down against the Indian side. But Proteas had other plans against the team and came out on the top.
SERIES SUMMARY!
They start didn't well in the first test in the Centurion. India grabbed their historical win as it was their first test win at Centurion. Indian team played with accuracy and dominated the game and won by 113 Runs. KL Rahul was given man of match for scoring a ton in the first innings. Then from the second test match South Africans came back. Dean Elgar led from the front supported by Kegerson Peterson and their bowlers bowled with a great discpline that led to winning the second test match with Dean Elgar winning man of match. The story of third test remains also kind of same again their bowlers dominated in both the innings and once again Kegerson Peterson performed played crucial knocks and literally gave nothing to the Indian bowlers. Peterson was judged man of the match in the trid test match and series as well.
PROTEAS AT THE PEAK!!
Playing against one of the toughest test playing nation and runners up in the test championship tournament you certainly hope that they will dominate this but this time the opposite happened. South Africa make sure that the Indians couldn't mock them in their own backyard. They stood against and came out on the top. Credit goes to their all the players and they were no excuses they outplayed Indians. The most impressive part of African side was their bowling side. The disciplined that they have shown in the series is quite astonishing. Marco Jansen has impressed me the most in this tournament with his ultimate bowling skills. Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi were regularly picking wickets .Middle order contributions especially of Peterson was really crucial in one of the toughest conditions. Ultimate performance from the Underdogs. After this performance we can definitely say that Proteas are test squad that can dominate in the future.
INDIA'S MEDIOCORE PERFORMANCES!
Well certainly hopes were high from Team India to finally capatalize on the Africans side and become world dominant as a test nation. It is true that they were definitely defeating strong nations such as England, Australia on their home soil. As certain it was believed that India will manage to win in the South Africa as their side was a bit of inexperienced. But yet their was a total backflow of it. Indian really stared well in the Centurion but they failed in the last two test matches. The most disturbing from their side was as their middle order once again failed to perform. Both Rahane and Pujara as a senior player they have spend a lot of time but certainly there scores are not up to the mark
Continously failing to preform is really costing us. As a good potential team you cannot certainly waste such important positions of batting in the test matches. The team really should give a chance to youngster to really express themselves. Other than this their lower order failed to contribute. Shardul only in one innings managed to contribute. The bowlers really did their best couldn't manage to find success. The South Africans batsman outplayed them in the last couple of test matches.
