END OF AN ERA

 

One of the greatest playmaker of the game has now retired from all the formats. Whenever we sat in front of TV and heard AB de villers comes to the crease , we knew that it's gonna be something special.  Players like him are rarely seen in the game. A player that has an ability to deliver those big hits in any side of the ground. There was a series going on between India and South Africa in India, when AB came to bat the whole crowd was chanting his name rather than booing him. So imagine the level of Popularity he gained in Cricket. 

GREAT MASTER OF THE GAME

Ab De Villers was just an outstanding batsman. I think his whole journey was unbelievable as a cricket player. You need someone to finish the game for you , someone who can play a balanced knock and play as an responsible player or a defending knock in a test cricket. AB had all the qualities that a perfect batsman should contain. AB was not just a name , he had created his own style of playing.  The GOAT of the cricket. In Early Childhood playing backyard cricket with his brothers and now becoming one of the greatest player in the world is quite a journey. Ab had interested in many sports such as tennis , rugby , hockey but he choose cricket and the rest is history. Moreover De Villers was equally good at fielding. He is considered one of the safest hands in cricket when it comes to taking catches. So many qualities this single man had was beyond describing. AB has been called as Mr.360 and Superman. AB also did the Captaincy for the Proteas team where he took his team to the Semifinals of the 2015 ODI world cup which was held in Australia and New Zealand. 

( This was his most amazing catch that he took in the IPL. It was unbelievable)

HEART BREAKING MOMENT!

One of the major disappointment in his whole career would be that he never won a cup for his team. It is hard to believe that yes but it didn't happen to him. The player with such talent has nover won a trophy is not easy to accept. Even in the IPL he played for two franchises Delhi Capitals and Royal Challenger Bangalore but never won a IPL trophy.  AB de Villers once took his team to the semifinals of the 2015 ODI World Cup but were defeated by the New Zealand. It was such a close game. This was the moment where every AB fan would have cried. Because he cried for the first time and it broke my heart too. That moment was one of the most saddest moment in the history of Cricket. AB did everything to win the game but eventually luck was not with them and believe me luck plays a part in the game.

. He als had have highest T20 partnership in T20 cricket with Virat Kohli of 229 Runs

. In 2013 he was on the TOP of the icc test and ODI rankings


I think there is no need to describe now how good he was in the sport. Action speak louder than the words.

POPULARITY IN INDIA!

AB de Villers has an incredible fan base in the India. People are crazy about him as if he is the local boy. When you are seeing an IPL match in banglore you will hear fans chanting Ab all the time when he will be at the crease.He has recived great amount of immense love from India. When it comes to playing in India he absolutely loves  to play in India. He has a great average of 39 and a strike rate of 151.69 in the IPl. All over he was quite a entertainer for the Indians. I personally think that IPL has been a major part of his cricket journey. People have jokingly said that If AB could hold elections in India , he would have won with the majority and there is no doubt about that. 

BOND WITH VIRAT KOHLI

Virat Kohli and Ab De Villers are best friends. Their friendship started in IPL when ABD joined RCB in 2011. Ab De Villers had said many times that Virat Kohli is his best mate and he loves playing with him. While Virat had also said that I am  biggest fan of him. They have shown their coordination in the field also. As mentioned above they had highest partnership of 229 in the T2O cricket  that was in the IPL. It is neither about just a single game , they both had many partnerships together and won the game of RCB. This is the best Duo which I saw ever in the cricket. The  two best players playing and dominating the opposition was such a treat to watch. We will gonna miss this beautiful pairing in the IPL for sure.

We don't think there will be a player like you ever in the history with such intent. The player who used to hit those massive sixes like as if it was just a routine. Thank you ABD for choosing cricket and making us falling in love with the game. The gem of the game. Even words will be short when we will describe that how great he was.
